As we approach early voting in the runoff for the District 2 council seat, I am asking you for your vote. Each council member is elected to be the voice of their district, be responsive to their concerns, and get things done on their behalf. My priorities will always be the residents and small business owners in District 2 and Galveston. I will commit to transparency in all that we do, provide regular social media updates, and conduct quarterly town halls so that residents can give input on issues, raise concerns, and participate in the process. Luke and his wife Mary have been married for 39 years. They have two grown children, a son and a daughter, and two beautiful granddaughters. Loving historic homes, they choose to live in District 2 along with their three rescue dogs and a cat.
Luke is a successful Galveston small business owner who is dedicated and passionate about his community. Luke's leadership and decision-making skills led him to a successful career in corporate America for over 25 years eventually starting his own Insurance Agency in 2017 with offices in Galveston and Houston.
Luke has been an active member of the Galveston Kiwanis Club and most recently as its President. In that time he has gotten to know Galveston's charitable and philanthropic landscape. Through this involvement, he has been honored to support numerous organizations while upholding the Kiwanis motto of “changing the world one child at a time”.
Luke believes in the “WE” rather than the “I” approach to solving and addressing problems. His approach and passion lead him to get things done. This makes him someone who can work together with his fellow council members and management in order to make things happen for the residents of District 2 and Galveston.
